Te Puke Heritage Hub
Sue Matthews a Trustee of the Western Bay Heritage Trust promoting this exciting idea. Sue has provided the following information.
Be part of this exciting opportunity - It is Te Puke’s time to shine and celebrate its amazing history, both iwi and colonial. As the Kiwifruit Capital of the World - Te Puke Heritage Hub’s main focus will be the kiwifruit stories, with ample opportunity to also celebrate histories from within our great district - where there will be space to exhibit our pride, our many achievements and a vision for success for generations to come!
What you would be supporting? Development of Te Puke’s Heritage Hub where they celebrate and engage with our communities, including youth, schools, preschools, lifestyle villages, social and executive events. Be part of outreach opportunities and support tourism and business growth in our town!
What would the management look like? One employee and volunteers. Coming under the Western Bay Heritage Trust which was established to mandate the development of the Western Bay Museum (established 2015). The Te Puke Heritage Hub would sit beside this successful business model - with access to their many previous exhibitions, policies, New Zealand code of museum ethics, 5 qualified staff, within 2-3 years; their successful funding streams, and access to major museums in Aotearoa. They have developed a great reputation with over 12,000 visitors this year.
Annual Sponsorship: This is an opportunity to support our Te Puke District by giving this proposal LIFE and make this opportunity a REALITY! There will be a sponsorship board to celebrate sponsors - Premium ($30k) Gold ($20K) Silver ($10K) Bronze ($5K) Friends ($1K).
