Associate
Suited to an experienced tax compliance professional wanting to take the next exciting step in their career toward practice ownership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Total management of a portfolio of clients ranging in complexity, size, and industry type
Team and client support for technical queries and problem-solving
Support with practice internal controls and processes, keeping them up to date and ensuring they are complied with as well as ensuring the team has the resources to deliver their roles and objectives
Training and mentoring to all team members
Workflow management to assist with the work being delivered in full, on time and within budget
Team performance management, including appraisal interviews
Direct responsibility for compliance, advisory and project tasks of a group of clients
Identifying opportunities to add value to client services
Initial support of new clients recently onboarded into the practice
Involvement in internal management meetings and contributing to the growth of the practice

Strong technical skills and a strong understanding of end-to-end tax processes and the NZ tax environment

REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of Public Practice work experience in a tax compliance and advisory environment
CA qualification. Public Practice Certificate preferred, but not essential
Excellent team player and proven leadership and management skills
Ability to demonstrate management flair, drive and identify business development opportunities
